Jerry Wright is the founding pastor of The Rock Christian Church. He has been serving as Senior Pastor since May 2004. Prior to that, he served as an Associate Minister at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in DeKalb, IL.

The attributes that best describe Pastor Wright are strong preaching, leadership development and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like The Rock Christian Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Wright believes in serving the Lord in all areas of his life. His focus for the church has always been centered in praise, preaching, and prayer.

He has Bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Master's degree from Western Illinois University.

Pastor Wright has been happily married for 30 Years to his wife, Tracey. They have nine children: MarcQus (Tawanna), Taisha, Jason (Jaclyn), Jeremy, Justin, Jawanza, Janay, Jeremiah, and Janiya. They have seven grandchildren: Malia, Makayla, Jayden, Orlando, Mariah, Elijah, and Malcolm.

As the First Lady at The Rock Christian Church Tracey Wright has served in many capacities. Currently, she is the Lead Servant for the women's ministry, Women of Shekinah, a Trustee, a Pray Warrior, and a member of the Praise & Worship Team. She also works with Women's Ministries for the Central Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

The attributes that best describe the First Lady are God-fearing, evangelistic, and caring. Her desire is to share the gospel with as many people as we can. She is committed to serving marriages, families, and those in need of discipleship. She was the driving force behind the development of Sunday School, Prayer Warrior training, and New Member's class. She is also a devoted Bible Study teacher. The First Lady takes worship very seriously, spending the first hours of her day focused on Bible study.

She has a Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University

The First Lady and the Pastor married on April 6, 1990.

LaBrian has been directing Children's Ministries at The Rock since 2010. He started by developing our AWANA Program. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” The key focus of AWANA ministry is Scripture memorization, understanding and application. This has really been the mission of Children's Ministry under LaBrian.

LaBrian also serves as a Deacon and a member of the Praise & Worship Team. He and his wife NiKtta have been married for 12 years. They have four children; Crystal, LaBrian, LeBron, and Lathan.

Nikkita has been the Secretary at the Rock Christian Church since 2013. She has been faithfully committed to serving wherever the church has need. She is on the Board of Trustees, she serves in Hospitality Ministry, she is a committed Prayer Warrior, she teaches for Bible Study and New Members Class, and she is a frequent speaker for Sunday Worship Service.

Nikkita has been happily married to LaBrian for 12 years. They have 4 children.

April has been a member of The Rock Christian Church since 2014. She was a faithful Bible Study student who emerged later to teach Bible Study. She initially became a member of the Praise and Worship Team in in 2016. She was called to be the Lead Servant a year later.

April has a son in high school, Isaiah.

Beverly McCall is one of twelve original members of The Rock Christian Church. She started as the Lead Servant in the Teen Ministry, T-Rock a ministry that grew rapidly under Beverly's leadership. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees and the Head Usher. Beverly has faithfully served on the Women of Shekinah Conference committee and coordinated the Sacraments for many years (Communion and Baptism). She is a frequent Sunday Worship speaker and teaches the Essential Doctrine section of New Members Class.

She has been Married to Deacon Leonard McCall for more than 35 years. They have two children; Erika and Tiffany (William).

Deacon Leonard McCall is one of the original twelve members of The Rock Christian Church. Deacon McCall a committed Sunday School teacher. He also has compassion for youth ministries. As a retired employee of the St. Charles Youth Detention Center, Deacon McCall seeks opportunity to develop programs that aide in youth mentoring. He participates in Prison Ministry for DeKalb County jail and he is a member of The Rock Christian Church's Board of Trustees.

Deacon McCall has been married to Beverly for more than 35 years and they have two children.

Jason is currently serving as a deacon on trial at The Rock. His ordination will be coming up later this year. He has been a committed member since 2011. He serves the church as the Lead servant for the Audio Visual ministry. Jason has mentored youth interested in learning A/V ministry. Jason is also one of our Bible Study teachers.

Jason and his wife, Venika, have been married for 11 years. They have two children; Angel and Jason Jr.

Gary has been a member of The Rock Christian Church since 2007. Gary is a Deacon on trial with an ordination date set for later this year. Gary has a passion for Men's Ministry and works tirelessly to develop relevant programs for men. He is also an instrumental part of Children's Church at The Rock. He also coordinates the children's worship service along with Deacon Carrington.

Gary has been happily married to Pamela Jackson for 8 years. They have four children; Sha-Myra, Veronica, Sallain (Alexzandra)., and Tamia

Keonte has been a member of the Rock Christian Church for the past two years. Keonte has a passion for young people and teaching them God's word. He was a student at Northern Illinois University teaching independent Bible studies before finding The Rock Christian Church. Keonte is a young man with a call on his life. He hopes to pastor a church in the future. He is currently the Bible Study teacher for Teen Ministry.

Keonte is married to Rykeisha. They have two children; Ryel and Keonte Jr.

Cornelia has been at The Rock Christian Church since 2012. She is dedicated to providing Christian education to our new members. She coordinates the New Members class which is our initial discipleship training. Cornelia is also a faithful Children's Sunday School teacher. She serves as a Lead Servant in our Hospitality Ministry and she is a recent addition to our Finance Committee.

Cornelia is engaged to DeAngelo Pierce. They are scheduled to wed this summer.
