Cru
Lead Servants Jeff & Kate Mehne
Cru was originally founded as Campus Crusade for Christ. Cru is a community of students on college campuses who simply want to experience God more while in college.
The Rock Christian Church has supported Cru leaders Jeff and Kate Mehne since 2004. Jeff is from Sycamore, Illinois and went to Purdue University where he met his wife Kate. They were called into ministry on college campuses. They are currently at Western Michigan University.
"We are not a church. We are not a replacement for church. We are college students from many different churches (and even no church/spiritual backgrounds at all) who want to grow in understanding what it means to follow Jesus Christ.
We know college can be a hard, and even scary for a student to live out their faith, so we try to offer students a safe and loving alternative to the perceived/stereotypical college life. Even if you just want to learn more about the who Jesus really is."
Cru is committed to the centrality of the cross, the truth of the Word, the power of the Holy Spirit and the global scope of the Great Commission.
Cru offers spiritual guidance, resources and programs tailored for people from all cultures in every walk of life through many diverse outreaches.
